My daughter is having an absolute blast with this wooden cash register set, and it’s turned our playroom into a full-on pretend supermarket. The rechargeable scanner beeps and lights up just like the real thing when she “checks out” her toys, which keeps her engaged for hours as the little shopkeeper. The included shopping cart is sturdy and the perfect size for her to push around, loaded with play food or her stuffed animals for epic role-play adventures. The wooden construction feels high-quality and safe, with smooth edges that withstand her enthusiastic banging on the keys. It comes with pretend money, coins, and a card swiper, sparking her counting skills without feeling like a lesson. Only downside is the battery life on the scanner drains after about 45 minutes of constant use, so we plug it in mid-session. Toys are plastic.Scanner takes x2 AAA batteries, Cash register uses a power cord (usb to pin)Fake money. Paper cash, small print, has $5, $10, $20 & $100’s. Not double sided. Plastic coins need to be punched out. Includes x2 fake debit/credit cards (thin plastic).Shopping cart had to be assembled, but was very easy! Just snap it together, took less than 10 min. Its very small. But its my favorite part about this set! My kids love filling it up with food items & pushing it around.At first, i thought the power cord had to be plugged in all the time for it to work. It does not! The cord just charges it, then can be used without being plugged in. (Think it also might have a solar power strip?). The power cord is very short, but that doesnt matter because it holds a charge.Real working calculator. The display does not light up. Beeps when you press buttons.Very difficult to get the cover on the scanner to come off to put the batteries in. Ive been unscrewing it with the tiny provided screwdriver for like 10 min, but still cant get it. Maybe its stripped? But i cannot insert the batteries without completely removing the screen & the plastic cover.Broke the thing trying to get the battery cover off. Now even with batteries in the scanner does not work. Turns out the screw waant stripped, it was just melted into the plastic & could not be removed without me tearing it apart.Even better, when I went to unplug the charging cord from my charging base (since it doesnt come with one) the metal part stayed inside my charger & only the plastic part came out. Now the charging cord & my own charger are broke.I wanted to like this product, ot has potential! But the battery cover on the scanner was impossible to remove & i got a battery stuck in there trying. I shouldn’t have to use needle nose pliers multiple times trying to get a kids toy to work. Needs some quality control.A week in, my kids still like it! They dont know that the scanner was ever supposed to work so its fine.

Fun Toy but needs improvements
This is a good pretend play toy for kids ages three and up. It offers a wide range of accessories, grocery store items, and fast-food options. Although the seller provides precise measurements, the images could be misleading because the basket and cash register are significantly smaller than anticipated. It is advertised as a wooden cash register, but only the sides are wood. I wish the paper money had a nice plastic coating and were larger for easier handling. The scanner is a nice option, but it requires batteries. The calculator is rechargeable, but at this price, I would expect to have a rechargeable scanner as well. The product has a lower quality feel because it is unsteady and does not rest solidly on the counter. The battery compartment and the charging connector are of inferior quality. My grandson enjoys playing with the register and has fun using the realistic scanner.

Great toy for imaginative play & learning
My 5- and 3-year-olds love this little cashier set. Itâs perfect for open-ended play, sometimes one of them is the cashier, the other the customer, and they constantly swap roles. Itâs a fun way for them to learn about money, counting, and sharing.I expected it to be a bit bigger based on the pictures, but it turned out to be a decent size (around 8″ Ã 9″, see the pictures in the review). Works well for small hands. I would have preferred if the cash would have been a little thicker (bills are just like a glossy paper) for longer durability in their rough play.All in all, itâs a lovely toy for a wide age range, stimulates imagination, creativity and role play.

Super cute Montessori friendly wooden cash register that is easy for kids to play with. It comes with so many different things and they can set the price of the items and play. This would be a great addition for a kitchen set a restaurant set or even just teaching the money.
