A quality toy that encourages fine motor skills
We bought this for our grandson, who loves to play with gadgets more than toys. He loves it and it keeps him entertained for quite a while. Melissa and Doug toys are quality and last a lot longer than cheap plastic toys.

    Great OT Tool
This board was bought as an OT tool for my daughter. It has helped her work on her pincher grasp and get better at being independent for clasps, latches and such. This board being wooden has been great for durability. The size is perfect to tuck away when we don’t need it. It was a great price and gave a lot of options in one board.

    Very captivating!
My 18 month old granddaughter loves knobs, locks, latches all on cabinets and doors! The moment she saw this board full of them she grabbed it up and seldom puts it aside. The metal latches are shiny and bright. Very catching to a toddlers eye. And all of the doors with numbered animals painted inside can be slammed over and over unlike our real doors! We had already bought the switch board panel which has taught her fine motor skills with little lights and buttons.Such clever toys for little ones to get absorbed in learning basic eye hand skills and alot more. Thank you for designing these curious boards for busy toddlers to immerse their hands and fingers into.

    Fun and educational
Fun toy for critical thinking and problem solving. Good for my 1 year old and 3 year old still enjoys it. It’s pretty bulky and occasionally a piece gets stuck but it’s still fun.

    Realistic, practical, and engaging
We recently bought this for our 15-month-old, as she loves figuring out locks and even her car seat clip. This toy has kept her engaged and allows her to practice the skill of maneuvering various types of locks to build fine motor skills. What I love most about it is that the locks are realistic and made of metal (no cheap plastic; this is the real deal). There are also a wide variety of locks, some of which she can manipulate now and others which are more challenging, so I think she’ll be able to use this for some time to come. Behind each door is a different group of animals and we talk about the colors, animals, and numbers in each scene, which helps to build language skills too.

Another great quality Melissa & Doug product. Our little one is nearly three and absolutely loves working through the series of latches and locks and counting the animals underneath.

Ok so first of all, if you’re looking for a puzzle game, sturdy, that helps practice motors skills with hands and fingers, that helps educate your kids, this is a definite must buy.Educational:First, you can count, then practice colours, then they toggle and try to figure out the mechanism, then you can ask “Where is…?” to practice memory. I went further and cut out paper shapes like the little doors and drew shapes on them like circle, square, etc so my daughter got to practice shapes as well. You could print photos of your family or whatever you’d like and put them inside to change it up a bit.Sturdy:The wood is sturdy, no chipping or danger (in my experience) for my daughter’s fingers.Definitely something that will stay in the family for the next baby (or babies).

very popular with 11 month old and has enough variety and challenge to it that it grows as the baby does. They will learn to do more with it.
