Fun, Tense, and Strategic
A great game from a great publisher. The updates the 2nd edition bring are more relevant cards and new card art. The art is very Munchkin and the new cards are fun as someone who is more familiar with the events of today rather than the events parodied by 1st edition. The game seems complicated at a glance but after some time the mechanics are easy to learn. I had a lot of fun with my friends, backstabbing, bluffing, and cackling like evil masterminds. A wonderful purchase.

Great Game
Still one of my all time favorite card games. If you’re from the new land of “living card games” like Arkham Horror and such, note that Illuminati is much, much simpler than those. This is not a hyper complex RPG simulator using three hundred cards that cover a dozen different game mechanics. It’s a very straightforward game where you build networks of factions (like convenience stores, or California) to create your Illuminated empire. It’s kind of like playing a political cartoon. Most games of Illuminati are going to take an hour, maybe an hour an a half, so you don’t have to commit an entire evening it, like you do many of its larger descendants in the card game universe.

Not as fun as previous editions
I’ve been an Illuminati fan since the pocket box editions. I loved INWO, and the edition prior to this one (and all of its expansions). While the cards are.wonderfully colored, with vibrant art, it just doesn’t play as well to me as the previous editions. While I find it a perfectly adequate game, it just seems a bit dumbed down.I don’t know. Call me a grognard. I am hoping the Alternate Truths expansion adds back some of that missing flavor.

I have yet to play this game because it is so confusing. you really have to be into politics to play this game. instructions are confusing for people who have no idea what its talking about politically. Best of luck to you.

Llevaba tiempo buscando éste juego y aquà es donde lo encontré más barato y de mejor calidad que en cualquier otro lugar que haya buscado. El juego llegó sin ninguna marca de daño y completamente nuevo. Sin duda alguno uno de mis juegos de mesa favoritos y también de los más conflictivos, no te fies de nadie.

Se supone que es una segunda edición, por lo que tenÃa que tener todas las cartas de la primera edición , pero no es asà faltan cartas de la primera edición y para mà cartas muy importantes , lastima que siempre por ganar dinero tengan que engañar

Resistenti e con ottima grafica, inoltre ci sono alcuni eventi accaduti realmente che si dice siano stati predetti da questo gioco (non tutti ovviamente perché sono passati molti anni dal gioco originale e dalle carte collezionabili che hanno reso famoso questo gioco)Consiglio tantissimo! Meccanica di gioco impegnativa ma una volta capita è molto bello!Le istruzioni sono in inglese ma sono facilmente trovabili su internet quelle in italiano riferite alla prima versione del gioco.Consiglio!
