Top game for our family this year!
Easily one of the best games I’ve ever discovered and I own A LOT of games. It’s simple, 2-8 players, and so far the kids age 6 on up have grasped the concept and are good competition. It’s playable in 5-15 minutes, but one game is never enough. The quality is great, and the artwork is simple, yet beautiful.

    Beautiful, Simplistic and Fun!
This is one of the most beautifully, simplistic, and fun games, with a ton of replay value, that I have every played!Of all the games that I have – everyone (friends and family) love to play this game and is requested every time we get together. The artwork on the box, game board, tiles, instructions, dragons is beautifully drawn. The rules are simple, you have 3 tiles in hand (different paths are drawn on them), place a tile, more your dragon along the path, and be the last dragon left on the board. The more people that play (8 total) the more fun and strategy there is to keep on the board without falling off (due to your tiles paths or someone else’s connecting path) or colliding with another dragon. The games are also fairly quick so if you fall off the board early it’s not a long wait to play again. This is an amazing, simplistic, beautiful, high replay, very fun game for casual and hardcore board gamers of all ages!Comparison to its sister game: Tsuro: Of The Seas / Why I bought Tsuro:TGOTP over T:OTS~ ‘Of The Seas’ plays just like Tsuro:TGOFP but has some new elements. With artwork just as beautiful the board which is a little bigger (7×7 grid). There are sea monsters that roam the seas, able to remove the paths that they cross & can destroy you if you collide with them.I bought ‘The Game Of The Path’ over ‘Of The Seas’ because ‘Of The Seas’, I think, added too many mechanics (the sea monsters – that move around the board – every single time a player moves based on a dice roll) can knock you out of the game extremely early (especially with more people playing) and removes path tiles that they land on top off – allowing new tile to be placed there: This extended the play time a lot – so if you got knocked out of the game early on, you would be waiting a while before you could play again. You can still play the ‘TGOTP’ way with ‘OTS’ by removing the monsters and only playing with a (6×6) grid, but I loved ‘TGOTP’s artwork more and (since I play with a lot of people) I didn’t want that extra wait variable time.

Easy game with some strategy, brings in non gamers.
This game is fantastic and draws people in who normally are not table top gamers.Pro: This game is extremely easy to learn, the mechanic of it is very fun, and the more people you have the more fun it is. The design of the game is very simple, yet very exciting and relatively fast paced. You get through a game in 10 min and the thinking that is involved is good solid strategically thinking.Con: My only draw back with this game is how repayable it is. You could argue that the game is different every time, and this is true from a piece, location and movement aspect, but the strategies don’t change. Most of the fun is in your first 5 games learning a strategy that works, and from here you are never forced to re-invent yourself or adjust your main strategy. This can get a bit boring (especially for more advanced gamers).Kids: I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old who play and love this game. They didn’t struggle with understanding the rules at all, and love playing the game. They love to push their pawns towards each other and turn at the last minute (which is actually a very good strategy moving towards the middle of the board and then claiming a side to try and stall out the other players). I would recommend it for a mature 5 year old and certainly for 6 and 7 year olds and older who like games.Overall: This game rocks overall, the only con I had was a slight one, and people who play it once or see it played usually get excited to continue to play it. This has become a family favorite, it is also a game we know we can break out at any time, with any crowd anywhere and have fun with.

This is a glorious looking game. Everything screams quality – from the sturdiness of the box to the slip of velum over the board when you first open it, to the lovely game pieces and delightful artwork. This is one of those games that is simple to pick up (my 6 year old and his friend got this within about 3 minutes) and playable by all ages from 5 up. Younger players can place tiles and rely on luck, older ones might start to think ahead a bit with their tiles and try to position themselves more strategically. Either way luck plays a part and I’m not guaranteed to beat my son even if I try hard to do so – in fact we’re probably tied for wins to date!Quick to play so youngsters won’t be bored, also a nice game for family gatherings or mixed groups. We love this game for its simplicity and its beauty. Buy it.
