Customers say
Customers praise the controller’s build quality, noting it works flawlessly for PC gaming and delivers performance beyond its price point. The device features a rechargeable battery that can last weeks between charges, and customers appreciate its feel, with one noting it feels like a PS4 controller. While it works well with Steam games and emulators on various systems, compatibility with Xbox and PlayStation is limited, and some customers report connectivity issues. The buttons receive mixed feedback, with some finding them perfect while others note they’re not programmable.

Reliable controller that looks good
I got this controller after the trigger on my old one broke. This one has a lot of available color schemes that all look good, and I chose the mint/orange. The buttons are all clicky, except for the trigger buttons that are just linear. The D-pad importantly isn’t mushy like some other controllers, and it provides a nice tactile feel when pressed. The controller has good, strong rumble. The outer shell feels decent and not cheap and hollow like my old controller, and the joysticks have nice grips. The size is a bit smaller though, about the size of a Switch Pro controller joystick grip. I was decently surprised by the metal connecting the joysticks to the body of the controller, which looks high-quality. The 2.4G connector has no latency when I connect it to my PC, but I haven’t tried it on my Switch or on Bluetooth mode. Overall, a great product!

Plug and Play, Good Quality
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the controller, especially given the great price. It works right of the box on Windows with the included 2.4GHz dongle. In addition, it has a built-in rechargeable battery, so no need to swap them out. Just use the included cable to charge the remote

EXCELLENT At This Price Point
So after playing for about 6 hours my initial thoughts are, “this is $26!?”. Excellent quality very similar to other 8BitDo products. Feels the same as the Ultimate C Wired Controller For Xbox. The dongle works with the MagicNS for switch, blu-tooth connected and stayed connected without issues. The extra R and L buttons don’t get in the way but are great for something like quick saving and loading or fast forward and rewind on emulators. The basic button commands to turn on “Turbo” or “Auto-Turbo” modes work pretty intuitively. Overall this is just a damn well made “budget” controller.

Works Great with SteamDeck!
I wanted a controller that I could simply plug and play without the hassle of pairing or configuring. This controller fits that bill: just plug in the USB-A dongle, and it works out of the box. It also supports Bluetooth if your device does not have a USB-A port, and the battery lasts for several daysâcharging via a USB-C port. This controller offers great value for the money; however, I do have some complaints. The extra buttons are a bit of a hassle if you want to configure themâthey function more as macro buttons that you can program to simulate other functions rather than as additional buttons. Also, when using the USB dongle, thereâs no way to determine how much battery life remains. Finally, the controller sometimes sends a ghost signal: the menu button (the equivalent of the Xbox or PlayStation button) is activated even when no buttons are pressed, bringing up the game menu. This could be problematic during a multiplayer game that does not pause when the menu appears.Otherwise, the controller works well, is comfortable to use, and works great with the SteamDeck!

Surprisingly Excellent â Budget Controller That Feels Premium
I bought the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller on a whim, expecting it to be a decent secondary controllerâbut it quickly became my go-to for everything from PC gaming to emulators on my Steam Deck. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable it feels in hand. Despite being lightweight, it doesnât feel cheap. The matte texture provides a solid, almost velvety grip, and the buttons have a satisfying tactile click. The analog sticks are smooth and responsive, rivaling controllers that cost twice as much.Connectivity is seamless. I use it wirelessly on my PC via the included dongle and have experienced zero latency issues, even during fast-paced games like Hades and Rocket League. It also pairs instantly with my Android tablet via Bluetoothâno fussing with settings or drivers.Battery life is impressive. After a full charge, Iâve played multiple multi-hour sessions over a week without needing to recharge. The USB-C port is a nice touch for fast charging and future proofing. What really sets this controller apart is the customization provided by 8BitDoâs Ultimate software. I didnât expect that level of control in a mid-range modelâbutton remapping, stick sensitivity adjustments, and trigger response curvesâall accessible through a clean, easy-to-use app.Honestly, this feels like a controller made by gamers, for gamers. Whether you’re playing indie titles, retro games, or modern hits, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C delivers performance well beyond its price point.

Great budget controller for Steam Deck!
Both of Playstation 4 DS4 controllers always seemed to have trouble with latency when I connected to my Steam Deck using Bluetooth. I wanted a 2.4G USB dongle and gave 8BitDo’s USB Adapter 2 a try, which worked OK with my DS4s, but they would still have weird connection issues.I also used 8BitDo’s Gamecube controller adapter for the Nintendo Switch, and I think their design philosophy and products are great! I ordered the Ultimate 2C contoller (I love the mint/orange color combination, so fun!) and so far, it works great after only plugging in the matching USB dongle. The controller is maybe a little small, but my hands are medium to large, and it only becomes uncomfortable after holding down the back triggers for an extended period. Other than that, I like the fit. The thumb sticks are also very solid and feel quality. They feel like they won’t wear away or fade, at least not immediately. For a budget controller, I am very happy with the look, feel and control.

I recently purchased the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller for use with my Windows PC and Android devices, and I am thoroughly impressed.Design and Build QualityThe controller has a sleek and ergonomic design that feels comfortable during extended gaming sessions. The matte finish provides a good grip, and the build quality is solid, giving it a premium feel despite its affordable price.PerformanceThe 1000Hz polling rate ensures ultra-responsive input, which is noticeable in fast-paced games. The Hall Effect joysticks and triggers offer precise control and are a significant upgrade over traditional potentiometer-based inputs. The remappable L4/R4 bumpers add versatility, allowing for customized control schemes without the need for additional software.Compatibility and ConnectivityConnecting the controller to both my PC and Android phone was straightforward. The 2.4G wireless connection is stable, and switching between devices is seamless. The inclusion of a mode switch button simplifies toggling between platforms.Battery LifeThe battery life is impressive, lasting several days of regular use on a single charge. This longevity makes it a reliable companion for both casual and extended gaming sessions.ConclusionOverall, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller offers exceptional value for its price. Its combination of high-end features, solid build quality, and cross-platform compatibility makes it an excellent choice for gamers looking for a versatile and reliable controller. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a quality gamepad for PC and Android gaming.

I’m extremely satisfied with the ones I got; they feel very high quality, yet they aren’t heavy or bulky. Perfect for small to medium sized hands and they will feel familiar to anyone who used an Xbox controller before.Connectivity is simple using both the included dongle or Bluetooth, the battery lasts for an incredibly long time, and they charge fast and using USB-C. The thumb sticks are extremely precise and have basically no deadzone and no drift. The triggers have a shorter throw than I would prefer but they feel very nice as well. The rest of the buttons have a very snappy and satisfying feeling. I can’t evaluate the d-pad as I don’t play many games that are heavily focused on it. The vibration motors are also very tight feeling and strong. As for negatives, I don’t have much to say, and especially not any that would offset the positives. That’s not even considering the aggressive pricing compared to other controllers. I’m very satisfied and already pondering buying yet a few more. If I had to point out something negative it would be how poorly communicated the extra features are. There’s basically no documentation included either in the box or on the website itself. In fact, a few features from older models (like 0 deadzone setting) are present but you wouldn’t know unless you actually looked online for how to activate them. The software could be more comprehensive.
