decent board, good graphics, nice pins & 2 decks….needs a case!
This is a decent cribbage board tho materials are pretty cheap pine and 3mm ply that’s only finished on faces, not cut edges. The paint (water slide graphic/silk screen?) job is nice but I’ll urethane spit coat it too, especially to protect the cut faces on the exterior, the back of the case, and the inside face edges.You can tell the board is laser cut, all test is laser engraved, the peg holes laser cut.I like the magnetic closure. I swear I used these same hinges on a cedar box I made in 8th grade about 50 years ago.Heck, 1 has already cracked the frame…I had to add glue to keep the screws from loosening, will repeat in this.Size wise, this thing is rather large in length, while slender in thickness. It’s thick & wide enough to hold to decks of playing cards, and a weird cutout in the foam for the pins, but if you lose the nickel back they come in, they’ll just bounce all over the interior. Speaking of which the spaces created for the cards & pins in the interior is a nice laster cut flocked foam insert.If they bothered to put a little more effort into the design they could have accounted better for the pins, reduced the overall size a bit and had a better overall product.Also, if they truly thought this out, they would have laser etched the game rules on the case somewhere, istead of on a ill fitting quad foldd sheet of paperThat it’s lacking any case is a definite disappointment.This will get worn & splinter easily over little time.Seems they think this is going to be given heirloom treatment with dollar store product.Honestly, I have 2 other boards of far higher quality owned for 40+ years, both missing the pegs, 1 with a case 1 without. I really wanted this one for the pegs instead using burnt wooden matchsticks….Do I think its worth full price? not particularly, but at discount you could pull the trigger.

could have been a bit better thought out, but a good 2 player cribbage set.
First the good: If you are playing 2 player, it has everything you need in a simple small package with no pieces to lose other than the cards obviously. The appearance of the set is attractive and compact. It genuinely can fit in a pocket as small as a shirt pocket.Now the not so good: The cards included aren’t horrendous, but they aren’t going to last long or glide very easily while shuffling. It’s a standard size though so you can replace them with bee or bicycle and it will be fine. The pack can slide out of the side while the set is closed up so be careful not to lose it. The magnet used to count from 61-121 is pretty useless since you could just spin the counter around a second time to keep track since you aren’t likely to forget if you’re in the back half of the game (Unless you packed it up halfway and wanted to pick it back up again later I guess.) The magnet is also hard to move since it isn’t “Proud” from the board. The ring of wood around the magnet could be chamfered away or cut like the numbers to make it easier to manipulate. The biggest issue is that the instructions are too big to keep in the package without folding or sticking out. If they had been made to the profile of a playing card, they could have been kept in the box with the cards.

Very cool concept. Works well. Nice and compact for traveling.
