Nature’s Journey
PARKS is more of a beautiful, relaxing experience comapred to TREKKING the National Parksâit feels like a journey through nature. The artwork, components, and mechanics create a cozy, almost meditative vibe, especially great for solo or 2 players. Strategy is lighter, with more emphasis on resource management and timing.Absolutely love the game and the esthetics, it is expensive but worth it if you are into the national parks.

Fun every time we play
This game is a lot fun! It is complex enough to keep my 12-18 year old kids interested, but not too complex to be frustrating. The cards and pieces are incredibly beautiful and well-crafted; everything fits into the box in a really satisfying way. Replay-ability is high — shuffling the various types of cards makes it so strategy needs to shift a bit each time you play. My only complaint is that it took over a month from the time I ordered it until it was delivered, when the original listing said it would arrive in a week.

Like Ticket to Ride stopped to have a philosophical conversation
This is an odd game. It is both simple and somewhat difficult to pick up having a beautiful cohesive design with an abundance of components to keep track of, with beginner-friendly gameplay that probably makes a great gift for people who have patience…It’s something that is definitely not effortless to pick up, especially for the complete novice. In a way it reminds me of the fast paced Ticket to Ride but, slowing down and stopping to visit parks, introducing resource management, taking pictures, and learning about the numerous moving parts involved such as gaining permanent gear cards, visiting or reserving park cards, the 1 season card everyone gets a bonus from per season until it reset for a total of 4 seasons with the tile areas or equivalent train tracks reset, shuffled and added onto each season, the year card dealt to each player that is the only hidden thing from other players to gain a few extra victory points at the end, the temporary canteen card that is reset at the end of a season, hiker movement that may move right any number of tiles, but has an added complication of campfire restrictions when visiting the same tile-environment as another player, the maximum of 12 token resources per player, etc. It’s a bit like being presented with a sumptuous feast of all manner of foods in a royal court, with careful minuteau one must observe before diving into the feast. It may be intimidating breezing through the rule book thinking you’ll instantly pick it up, but after 1 season everyone is on board and it turns into a very enjoyable experience to return to again and again.

The game arrived when it was scheduled to, and it is a terrific game. Great combination of strategy and fun.

Great game for serious and casual players alike
Pros: The game is beautiful to look at, not too complicated to learn, surprising amount of depth of strategy. Every time I play this I had one by at least one point. The difference between winning and losing can be just one move (which makes the game engaging since it can come down to one decision like “do i get a photo here or do I want this resource?” “do I reserve the park or get gear?” Do I want to maximize my time on the board or finish quickly to prevent other players from doing stuff?”. items are organized.Cons: A lot to explain upfront. It’s one of those games that it isn’t clear until you play a round. The rules are not foolproof as we played a few games where we misunderstood symbols and the game became more difficult or broken.

Fun game with beautiful illustrations.
The game is beautiful and fun in general. I only play solo, the automa is ok but it doesn’t give you a score to beat, which is the only thing I feel is lacking in the solo experience. It only gives you levels on how well you did based on your score.I’ve adjusted the rules for myself so the automa does give me a score to beat, and that’s been working great for me.I love how everything in the box is so well organized. All pieces have a place to be and stay contained in the box. Perfect design that will please people who like tidyness.

Beautiful and fun game, even better game box
I donât often have a lot to say about the organizers that come in most board games, because most games have a rinky-dink cardboard insert thatâs supposed to nestle in all the pieces (usually with a mystery assortment of plastic baggies). Enter Parksâ this game is chock full of beautiful artwork and thoughtfully packages its pieces in a delightful organizer. Not a single game piece remains unaccounted for.As a player, youâll have fun moving your hikers down the randomly selected trails which increase in length as the game year progresses, strategically choosing where to stop along the way in order to gather resources and decide how to spend them when you reach the trailâs end. Youâll âbuyâ parks in order to visit them, gain new equipment to make your life easier, or reserve a park ahead of being able to purchase it in order to preemptively thwart your opponent. Itâs a very fun game celebrating our national parks, and deserves a spot in every board game enthusiastâs collection.

Jogo lindo, de complexidade média. Chegou sem danos e super rápido.

We play it with our 7yo without expansion. Love the graphic and zen paste of traveling, taking photos balanced against engine building, strategizing. It is a competitive not collaborative game. Does get a bit crowded having 3+ players.

Got this as a Christmas gift, for my bestie who loves deer. It’s really really good, very perfect for nature lovers, or gamers who like cozy games, it’s very relaxing the cards are stunning, they teach you things on each of them, it’s really fun and wonderful. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

The pieces (and the box) are designed beautifully. The gameplay is fun too and easy to learn and explain. There’s some competitiveness involved, but mostly you are just trying to score the most points by being as efficient as you can. After some point it becomes a bit repetitive, but still a nice experience.

Fun for all ages!
